Last time you checked it didn't work. Now stop trying to derail this into a pvp vs pve thread.

I, for one, am not the least amused by this crap. I didn't buy the game and all of it's expansions just to have some mundane employees idea of fun rammed down my throat for their personal enjoyment. That's a waste of about $200.
This needs to be on a voluntary basis, like eating or drinking something. I didn't buy this game so that if "I" hacked I coould be banned, yet "THEY" can hack the visual code and it's OK.
I am not happy about this and do not appreciate it. It's childish and is interfering with my game playing experience. My money invested.
They need to fix this now!

I like it - it's something I never would have expected.
Sure, it'll get annoying pretty fast but it's only for one day
so enjoy it or endure it - whichever - cause it's only 24 hours anyway.

QFT. I promise to remember this when I consider whether or not to purchase GW2. April Fools has a long and interesting tradition; with a tad of imagination I suspect even the most exhausted Arenanet developer could have come up with a way of celebrating it that wouldn't have also disrupted the experience so completely for players. By the way, we are also customers, and when companies begin to abuse their customers just because they can it doesn't auger well. Maybe it's time for a quick glance in the April Fool's mirror, Areanet to make sure you like what you see. It is a time of transition, for everyone.

This should be on a voluntary basis only!!!! It would be different if it were a free browser game. But, we paid to be able to log on and have an enjoyable experience. This is NOT an enjoyable experience.
And, you are so right when it comes to 1. disrupting the game like they have and 2. whne considering whether or not to invest another $200 or more into another version and its expacs.
I am more than highly agitated at the moment. I don't mess with peoples money and expect the same from them, ESPECIALLY involving some one that i give my money to in exchange for expected service!!!

It's called: expectation of service
I didn't pay to have my time interrupted in such a fashion or to have my normally enjoyable time ruined by a childish, inappropriate, and rule-breaking fashion!!
Had one of us "hacked" the game and made something like this happen, we woulda been perma-banned. Yet, they wish to intrude upon an otherwise enjoyable [albeit paid for] experience by they themselves hacking the visual code....all for their personal enjoyment at our expense.
I'd say that in itself is more than enough reason to "whine".
Had it of been for 2 minutes or some such, I probably would have dismissed it. However, having a life and a job, I am limited in the time to enjoy the game. So to interfere with that is uncalled for.
